Our group presented one full paper and two short papers at MIDL 2024 in Paris.

Anna Wundram and Paul Fischer were presenting their full paper on levaraging uncertainty estimates for making medical pipelines with uncertain steps more robust. They demonsterated the approach in a Glaucoma diagnosis pipeline. See Leveraging Probabilistic Segmentation Models for Improved Glaucoma Diagnosis: A Clinical Pipeline Approach. The paper won the Best Poster Award!

Jaivardhan Kapoor was presenting a short paper on artificial brain aging using a clever autoencoder approach. See MRExtrap: Linear Prediction of Brain Aging in Autoencoder Latent Space of MRI Scans workshop.

Stefano Woerner was presenting a short paper on his recently proposed medical meta dataset called MeDIMeta. It makes 54 medical tasks derived from 19 medical datasets easily accessible to researchers and practioners. See MedIMeta: An easy-to-use meta-dataset for medical imaging applications workshop.
